I apologize for not having a podcast last week. Just couldn't be done.

Here's a picture of one of our village's recent casualties. It was a necessary evil, and at least this one was an animal.

I asked all the contributors why they chose the songs they submitted this week, so I figured I should say why I did.

I recently backup 60GB of music to my external hard drive and it's a pain in the ass to listen to songs from there now. I wish the iTunes application could be used on the actual drive itself with the in tact library. Is this even possible? Am I too futuristic. Really.

In the last week I have only downloaded a couple of things. Beastie Boys "The Mix Up", Biffy Clyro "Puzzle", Klaxons "Myths of The Near Future", Rush "Snakes and Arrows", and The Stooges "The Weirdness". There's a ton of stuff I wanted to share but as I mentioned above... P.I.T.A.

I have been meaning to add Suspect Device forever now, and I actually have but had to cut it for time constraints. Well... I think I cut it. Hopefully this isn't a repeat submission.

I always dig the Beastie Boy's stuff, even if I think they can do better. Once again, I was on a time crunch so I didn't get to pick my favorites... but oh well.

So that's my reasons. I'd still like to have submissions from all readers and listeners.

I chose my songs just becasue they were cool the fact that they are all black artists is just coincidental as the songs were selected pretty much at random.

I have heard of a way to keep itunes on an external hard drive, library and preferences. it involves two third party software pieces, which of course I don't remember, but at least you know it exists. I'll try to get the information from a friend.

Ramon wins for naming the band. Kilian, you have to pick a song to guess, can't guess two songs.

Maybe Kilian could tell me about his artwork.

Okay, Daycare Dynamo. Nuts, I've lost my copy of BL&Tornado so I can't cheat.

Art is a photo collage featuring stuff from this week's nap - sweet pea (a baby), mario (a video game character), David Yow (a front man), Aaron Loesch with Hubert Sumlin (from the GC King of the Blues Awards) and Barcelona as backdrop.

Thanks Kilian. Barcelona has some interesting architecture to be sure.

i picked gg allin cause i hijacked some post last week using him.

i picked the faces' "had me a real good time" cause i got REALLY buzzed before my last radio show and played that song first 1) because it was long and i needed extra time to get situated (and pee) and 2) because i wanted to chase off the the purists early (be they hardcore, metal, 'punk'rock purists). this song is very efficient at doing that. just good tyme rock and roll.

Clinton and I were talking about the Faces at the last Linus practice. Damn fine group, that, and proof enough that Rod Stewart was worth something once.
