I see there's another batch of old music from the same period known as 'awful.'
Except Elvis Costello, and Velvet Underground.
And I like the music in Wes Anderson movies.
Umm, is it just me or is there no Elvis Costello or VU on this cast?
Hi Stacey
I am assuming you are rescuing Costello (episode 23) And VU (27) from the awful category and not saying they were on this cast. That would be pretty confusing if they were on this cast... How hot is it in texas right now?
HS got it right. Sorry for being obtuse, but I wanted to include myself in the 'awful' liking category, even though I now can no longer listen to Steely Dan. Softening whatever blow there might have been.
The awfulness of music from the 70s of which we have been spending a lot of time on of late. Perhaps stemming from a midlife questioning, which I know happened to me when I turned the aged 38.
But hey, maybe not.
It's finally hot in Austin now. Normal Texas weather - 90ish.
Our heat index today was 110. It's like walking through hot molasses. Put that in your pipe, New York. Fuck, I hate August in Houston.
I don't know what the fuck we were thinking going to Texas in August. I start sweating here when we have a high of 65. We are totally screwed. And the relatives keep bugging us to drive to sea world and the beach... as if we didn't live on the Bering Sea. Hey Stacey, hows the Children's Museum in Austin?
Clue time?
It's a cover, it's infinitely better than the original, and the guy who originally sings it is clearly the lord of the wasteland. So bow...
I realized I failed to list your name on the artwork for the NTT john. How egotistical of me. I always wanted hair like the cover singer.
The Children's Museum in Houston is much, much better. The one in Austin is like a one-room school house in comparison.
