This boy rode his bike everywhere. This boy was crippled with shyness. This boy grew up almost always happiest alone. This boy was mistaken for a girl because of his haircut.

This man stumbles through the world as much the boy as before. This man is humbled in the face of life. This man wakes in the morning and looks out the window, and is silent.

He has always been sensitive about his shoes. He has been keen on the looks in others eyes. He has labored beneath the weight of his own conscience. And while he is the target of balls badly thrown, he is always in the cage.
