welcome to my life

So those of you wondering why I don't consistently post as a fictional simalcrum of myself stranded on a desert island or reply to emails or comment or volunteer to do podcasts or even have fucking time to listen to podcasts, it's because I've worked over nine billable days this week. (In case you're wondering, weeks in New Zealand are, in fact, seven days, just as they tend to be in other countries.) And tomorrow's supposed to be the long day. (Today was a sprightly 14 hours.)

So I have no time to think about anything or listen to anything or do anything other than try to not freak out about my growing RSI and growing tonsils and pray that I don't get a multi-week long illness off the back of this project just as I'm flying to the States. And how out of it am I? This out of it: I just spent twenty minutes writing a post that I've basically already written before.

So never mind. I go to bed, Ramon will write brilliant and insightful things tomorrow/today/however you choose to interpret the international date line, and there will be much rejoicing in the land. If any of you guest columnists feel like writing something today, jump on in. The water's warm.
