I know we all like themes, but honestly, after much (i.e. a couple of seconds) thought, the only one I could come up with was "what I felt like listening to Saturday morning". So there.
Actually, there were three selections included for a reason other than they were what I was in the mood for that morning:
(1) the Fu Manchu track was included solely for having one of my favorite opening lines in a song EVER: "She wanted nothing, and I delivered!"
(2) "Waves of Fear" was included because of the discussion in Ramon's previous post about Lou Reed albums.
(3) "Miss Misery" was included because if I had my way, Linus would be covering that song (along with a few others I could name; perhaps that should've been my Podcast theme).
Thank you! Though I know things have been at a bit of a low tide lately for commenting on this board, I was a little surprised more people didn't tell me how much they hated the track of Kramer doing "Get It On". I figured that one might be hate-worthy.
Well, I'll take that bait and offer the explanation that in my case at least I would have had to actually listen to the podcast to have an opinion of that song.
that's nothing in comparison to anaconda putting on the Money song, for the second time in a row.
next week, the cast will be version XXI of a children's cast. re: not the definitive, but one I think will irritate some, though I will attempt to slant it to everyone's taste here. I will most likely fail. Regardless, the children will be nodding their heads, whether the parents are or not. Hopefully.
Thanks for the Fred Lane. I wish the pancake song was there for the children's cast, though I'm not sure the rhythm would work - but could. But, interesting to know he's more than a musician. Reminds me of seeing Nestor at CH when he came out dressed like a clown on a little child's push toy with a giant frown repeating, OUTTA MY WAY, GET OUTTA MY WAY. Then he went up to the stage and sang with the band. For some reason, I will always remember that as being a brilliant moment.

And, scene...
But... it's Kramer! Doing "Get It On"!
Okay, maybe not that enticing...
You have eclectic Saturday morning tastes my friend.
I was down with Bang a Gong although it might ought to have been saved for the Nap Children's cast.
p.s. Please LP4, do not let Charlie have his way

Have you ever heard "the French Toast Man" song? The guy puts french toast in a sock and drives around town?
Thanks for doing this cast Charlie. I heard most of it while doing some housework... which is how I like to listen to these things the most.
Here's a link to Fred Lane and if you scroll down, you can click on the french toast man. It has an audio download and the lyrics.
I haven't heard of the French Toast Man and am disappointed that I will never hear the full version. That post was a tease!
Here's a
Fred lane MYspace page.
OK Charlei maybe I need to go back and listen to the blue mask. Point taken. ;)
I still don't get Nazareth (or Uriah Heap) no matter how much people try to tell me it's great. :P
The kramer eh I got kind of bored with it and fast forwarded to be honest.
