John, i didnt’ mean to say that the music wasn’t worth liking because it was old. What i meant to say is that i didnt see why people get all up in arms when someone likes or dislikes one of these older bands. I guess is just friends being friends and giving each other shit about their music taste and i need to keep my trap shut about it. I’ll try to follow my own advice next time.

God damn, you people are retarded. Who gives a fuck when it came out? Does music have a shelf life? And K, slagging the man because he's black? Hello?

I unequivocably love TL, and that includes Boys Are Back. Letting the radio dictate what I listen to is idiotic. I realized that 20 years ago. It's why I still love Zep.

I couldn't personally care any less if you guys don't care for TL. I wish you loved it like I do because I get all goofy when I listen to them and I wish others would too, but we all feel that way about something or other so that's good enough for me. As much as you people piss me off at least we're all music lovers in some sense. Considering the morass of fuckheads I deal with every day I'll live with it. Anyone want my post this week, I am over it right now.

I’m having a hard time with how the classic rock bands seem to elicit the most polarized discussions on this blog. AC/DC, Steely Dan, Thin Lizzy…. why are we so passionate about this 30 year old music, most of which has little relevance outside of our own stereos/heads anymore?

I mean, come on claire, dead to you if we don’t like TL? How much do we have to like it? I like some of their stuff quite a bit, but some other songs are somewhat mediocre. His voice is great, but his guitar players never did much for me. But I don’t want to be dead to you, so I’ll try to like them better in the future.

Okay, after Charlie’s comment I had to go back and look at past Thin Lizzy posts and comments because this is starting to get very deja vu. Actually the site has been a bit deja vu for about a month.

I found nothing re: The Black Hole, but somebody brought it up at work just yesterday which is weird. I never saw it but I read the Disney paperback when I was a kid and liked that. I hope that’s enough to keep the butt demons at bay.

As far as my Thin Lizzy comments go, I am definitely getting more polarized.

Oddly enough, I feel the same way about Disney’s “The Black Hole”. If you don’t like that movie, you are dead to me, and may flaming demons assfuck you for eternity, much like I imagine they did to Reinhardt and his big red robot lackey Maxmilian.
