Week 74: Ladies
This past week, things have gotten a bit heavy around here. When I am told to "lighten up just a wee bit" by Mr. Cramer, who I consider one of the heaviest guys around, then I know I’m sinking into some heavy territory. I blame the moon.
So instead of trying to write something that will invariably turn heavy, here’s some ladies that always lighten up my day.
THE ROCKER
PURO SABOR
THE COOL CAT
THE VOICE
THE EXTRATERRESTRIAL
THE YODELER AND MY FAVORITE AUSTRALIAN LADY
[Here’s Part 1 and Part 3 of the Australian Outback series]

Ahhh the ladieez. Like a fine breeze and a glass o' lemonade on a hot day.
From now on, I'll always be measuring any musician's stage presence against the lady on a donkey (horse? mule?) playing standup bass across her lap. That's just badness.
In unrelated news, add puerto rico to the list of places with indicted governors.
i love it when you do these.
Me too. Where do these miniature motion pictures come from anyway? What will they think of next.
Is that sarcasm john? if so, why don't you tell us what you really think?
Yes, that was obvious (I was hoping anyway) sarcasm.
What I really think is that seeing an all Youtube post with little or no background information is only going to grab my attention if I just happen to have some sort of interest in a woman on a pony (which I don't). In other words, I spent no time watching them.
This is exactly why I think the blog needs some help in the content department. On the one hand, I think it's cool to face the rigors of having to come up with something each week, every week, regardless of what is going on in our personal lives.
On the other hand, the risk in this format is that there may come a point at which things get somewhat stale.
I think we have arrived at that point.
And in case I am hurting feelings, know that I am including myself in this criticism.
I don't want to pick on anyone, I just want us to try and give it up on a more regular basis rather than giving in and delivering wasteful posts.
We all have weeks where it isn't happening, but maybe this runs deeper than that.
Am I totally off base?
Anyone?
John, there is no way to keep a blog offering material that any one person or group of people consider exiting every day. You know that. I'm all game for ideas that might improve the quality of the blog, but you have to expect some highs and lows. We've had lulls before, (if we are in one now, that opinion might vary from reader to reader),and we've gotten out of them, and if we dont whats the worst that could happen? I like the restrictions, and yes sometimes i take the easy way out, but sometimes its made me write stuff that i've liked.
I will now say to you like you said to me, lighten up a wee bit. We all need to lighten up. You dont ahve to watch these videos if you dont want to, of course. Though I think maybe there is one there you might like, but maybe not. what do i know.
I will tell you something else. I prefer when you express yourself as in your second comment rather than using the sarcasm of your first comment. I especially didn't like how the comment sounded like you were trying chill Rosa by making fun of what she said. Can't Rosa have her own opinion without being made fun of? I dont' like it. and the only reason i didnt delete your comment was because I thought maybe i misread it. I'm glad you expanded on it. And really, keep the sarcasm in check, it is not working. not in writing anyways, too easy to misinterpret.
Fair enough.
