Actually you’re right Bluebird they are zucchini flowers but all of them squash flowers are edible and taste a lot alike.

It’s a Mexican delicacy too. The taqueria around the corner from me makes quesadillas flora de calabaza (but they’re canned so me no like).

Yes squash blossoms. This batch didn't have any actual squash (Squash tastes best when it's young and has the flower still attached).

Half of this batch came out soggy because I turned the heat down. Leave it up. I'm still learning.

We are having a banner year though. I've picked almost forty squash flowers already in little over a week.

I see. So he won't leave her for a really super girl if she won't leave him for a really super girl.

So it's a weighted marriage proposal.

If I was the girl I think I'd pass. It's a bit heavy handed what with all the flaming things. He's also reduced me to a type of girl and I don't appreciate that.

Going from the definition you give of a nonalignment pact, it then seem like the pact in the song would mean, that he doesn’t want her to get in bed with any of the “superpowers” who I imagine are the guy or guys (or gals?) that his other girls keep leaving him for.

Not exactly, though I'm guessing that's what Ramon meant by it. A nonalignment pact is a pact among nations that states that no member nation will align itself with a superpower nation. That way the nonaligned nations could stay out of any conflicts between the superpowers.

Hell, I did it for Elton, so why not pick apart the lyrics for this one?

This is just clever wordplay leading up to his point.
