Escape from Ignoreland
I had started writing an off-topic political post, detailing the reasons why I'm supporting Obama and why you should too, but it would've been ten pages long, and my energy has been sapped by eight years of madness. Perhaps if you're reading and you're still undecided, let me know your major issues of concern, and I will try to address them. In the meantime, I think back to what I was listening to in 1992...

I think you should give us the top ten reasons to vote McCain/Palin. It might actually have the same desired effect.
If it takes 100 years to achieve "victory" in Iraq, that's how long McCain will stay, unlike that pussy Obama.
McCain is not afraid to take on his own party, like Republican Senator Thad Cochran of Mississippi, who said, "The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me."
Obama wants to "spread the wealth around" by favoring a progressive income tax, just like that other well known Marxist/Socialist, Teddy Roosevelt.
McCain admits the economy is not his strong suit, but knows lots of great guys like "Enron loophole"/"Nation of whiners" deregulator extraordinaire Phil Gramm.
McCain's health care plan is also universal, because anyone can go to the emergency room.
Obama "palls around with" former domestic terrorist William Ayers, while the former domestic terrorist McCain palls around with, G. Gordon Liddy, is a much sharper dresser.
McCain always puts country first, for instance by picking the most well qualified VP candidate available.
It's true McCain has no executive experience, but oh boy does his VP candidate ever have loads of it.
Palin only violated the ethics laws of her home state, she hasn't yet actually been convicted of a crime.
Can't possibly be worse than Bush/Cheney, right? Right?

And Liddy is a plumber. Or a "plumber." Whichever. Everybody knows plumbers are part of the Real America (TM).
