Been listening to the Sundazed reissue of Moby Grape’s Truly Fine Citizen, supposedly one of their worst albums, over and over on repeat. Some albums just work that way, I’m not sure why. “Looper” will be on the next ConorMix. There’s not much footage of the Grape out there. Here’s some from their more respected early era.
Just started listening to the Vivian Girls. “Tell the World” is awful nice.

I can’t get over the vivian girls. It’s like a punk B-52s. Kind of like how you wanted the b-52s to be, in a certain sense. I mean, the green dog song they had was totally awesome.
but the vivian girls’distortion I really like.
Guitars and female vox smothered in reverb, you gotta love it…
