It was a New Year’s tradition in our house to play ABBA’s “Happy New Year”, from 1980, just after midnight.
For a few years I also liked to put on radio station WWV, broadcasting on internationally allocated standard carrier frequencies of 2.5, 5, 10, 15, and 20 MHz in the shortwave band.
