I have yet to hear the record though I heard them play several tracks live. It was also their best set in the 4 times I have seen them. Their drummer had heart problems after the set related to a recently implanted pacemaker.

I actually enjoy all of their recorded output though I figured I would get to the point when it would sound like the same record similar to Stereolab but fortunately that has yet to happen. I highly encourage one and all to get as close as possible for even a short while during their live set. The volume and intensity was pretty neat.

I’m pretty much with you on Mogwai. I dug Young Team, liked some other stuff, and then it all tapered off from there. And for me, that was until the Unspeakable turned me back on to them when she heard Batcat on KTRU the other day. We found the Batcat video on YouTube (genius), and whatta ya know? I’m into them again.
