Shows I Have Not Seen

Was out of town this weekend, so missed seeing Juana Molina at the Great American. Here’s an informercial from her British label.

Also missed seeing the Master Musicians of Jajouka, who played for free at Amoeba on Saturday. Apparently they started playing outside several blocks away, and led a big group of people into the store. They also played for nonfree on Wednesday, but I was too cheap. This clip looks to be from a Brian Jones biopic called Stoned…

Had a terrible fever earlier and my head and body were aching like mad. I figured I would post R.E.M.’s cover of Pylon’s “Crazy”, cuz I thought it had lyrics like “your head keeps achin’ cause your arms are achin’”, etc., but apparently it’s actually “shaking”, not “aching”.

So perhaps it would be more appropriate to post a performance by a fellow North Dakotan instead.
