Napcast April 7th

Hi.
A couple of weeks ago, I listened to two people on the radio talking about how it was funny that they thought they were so on the edge and cool because they were on college radio but then when they actually listened to the commercial stations that some actually played some of the songs they were playing. They thought it was very ironic and they were laughing at themselves. I thought it was kind of cool, but then on the other hand, it is still ironic.

And then I actually listened to some of the radio stations and found the results very interesting. I couldn’t stand some of what I heard on one, but I recognized none of it. The other station had a very familiar sound which was awesomely comforting. I can listen to it, except for all of the commercials. It’s weird to be a part of that.

Then I changed it to college radio. The effect was instantanious. My brain actually turned on and started buzzing. It was a song I’d never heard of but the sounds were very intriguing. Made me think of something German and industrial, but palatable.

I’m including a song on this cast from Henry & June, a movie that changed my favorite color to wine, at the time. It’s since changed. I really like the whole soundtrack so will probably be including songs from it for the next few casts. This one is by Anais’s brother.
