Monday, friends warmed house above the venue. Knowledge of set times was physically transmitted. Big Business: intense, loud, tight, ex-KARP, amazing drumming, bass chords.
Tuesday, friend had extra ticket to show. Broadcast down to a two-piece, in the shadows twiddling with keyboards on either side of the screen onto which amazing visuals were projected. Eventually they appeared in the light, playing guitars and singing. Intense bass frequencies, nearly causing both lungs to collapse.
Atlas Sound: Band, not solo, Bradford charismatic and funny banter, pitch shifting acoustic guitar, let audience girl play tambourine.
Thursday finally got around to seeing Port O’Brien. You’ll be hearing more about them cuz they have good songs. At the end they passed out noisemakers and had everyone rush the stage.
Friday friends had an extra ticket for Dinosaur Jr. You get frisked at the Fillmore for some reason; at least they give you free apples. Didn’t actually recognize that many songs. Loud solos delight.

Mmmm, Karp.
Thanks for posting the Broadcast videos. A friend had been raving about them and LaLa had only one album under the band’s Bio listed. Unfortunately it was a mistake as the album was some second rate bar rock band!
So thanks, good to know that Broadcast isn’t this atrocity: Broadcast- Step On it
Liked everything but the Port O’Brien. What’s wrong with me this time?
Agreed, Port O’Brien is pretty meh. They came here recently but I couldn’t muster up any enthusiasm for their music.
I didn’t mind the Port O’Brien.
