Best Beatles cover ever, perhaps the only competition came decades later when Boris with Merzbow put out the Walrus/Groon EP.
Pay no attention to the second song. It’s not a cover. It’s not a good song. And it’s revealing of how impossible it would have been to date a Beatle. First of all you got Paul arguing with you using his “soft” voice; telling you that y’all can “work it out” but making sure you understand that it’s your fault. Then one of his bitter gang members comes in and basically tells you to shut your yap. It will always be your fault with this bunch.
When Peter Cook shoots out the line “What, Tony Newley?” early on, you know you’re on a rhythmic joy ride with some masters. This is music at its finest.
What was great about the sixties.

Watched Mother Popcorn just yesterday and reveled in its near perfection.
You complete me John. I was trying to come up with the right final clip when I saw that you and DD had posted MP, perfect.
Holy crap it’s amazing. You sorta always know JB is a bad ass. But then you see it, and you realize you do not know. At all.
