The sample recording they use in that video is horrible. But it makes sense that they would use a "national" melody like that. I mean, usually when somebody writes a patriotic-ish song here, it contains some sort of local melody reference. I would guess not. That flute bit honestly doesn’t sound similar enough to be anything other than a vague musical reference. I can’t believe they lost that case. For their sake, I hope they can appeal the decision.

Btw, this week I had to tackle a mangled buggy bunch of php code. It was written by some Dutch swingers in Las Vegas and it sucked because the comments were no help. They were all in Dutch.

This week’s titles are actually Afrikaans, since Die Antwoord is South African, but Afrikaans isn’t far off Dutch, so it apparently looks the same.
