I’m in a writing frame of mind sort of.

A lot of the songs I’ve written over the years poured out in periods of otherwise deadening depression. They are not all sad songs, but sad is my usual writing frame of mind. Since living up North, my work patterns seem to mirror nature; Spring is a creative time. And now Clara’s bath time has become fertile music ground.

Well really, Clara’s bath time is the only time I’ve written any lyrics lately. Those lyrics all revolve around motivating Clara to wash various parts of her body – especially her hair. (Of course the acoustics are great. I could go all night.)

But I think I’m in a writing frame of mind for a real song. Thankfully I’m not depressed (but maybe this feeling is a forecast?). I think it’s the Spring air. Also playing with Erin –doing a “real” band again after a long abstract break. But I think a song is gonna come out soon. One that probably won’t involve Clara’s hair,

but it might.
