Yesterday I was up on my garage roof, getting my ass blistery, when the idea came to me to review the three most recent albums on emusic.com which I figured would be kind of random but give me the chance to present something to you that is completely fresh; however the first two albums were generic –a novice hip hop act with stock beats and muffled mumbled forgettable raps, and a piece of electronica which sounded like sample loops on a Korg Electribe– so I thought it was a bust but the third most recent addition to the emusic.com online inventory was the Cool Sound of Pepper Adams which is indeed cool and could give you a little more insight into mid-Century be-bop. Dig it.
