My wife’s family is in town. Damn near all of them. A couple of days ago I got a package in the mail from them. I thought that was funny on account that I knew them’s to be on the road. Opened it up, found a couple of cd’s full of Bon Jovi. The plot thinnened then on account that I knew them’s was trying to ramp me up on account them’s are gonna see Bon Jovi here in Chicago at the Soldier Field and them’s was kind enough to buy me a ticket. So come Friday night late I will have been to my first stadium rock show in one thousand years if’n I don’t kill myself first trying to get ramped up.
That is all.

I hear Barry from my post below is in Chicago right now. Maybe he could with you to see Bon Jovi.
I saw Bon Jovi at the rodeo in 2003 (Reliant Stadium), and had a fine, nostalgia-fueled time. Like the Eagles, they’re pros who can be relied upon to faithfully reenact all their hits. Unlike the Eagles, they aren’t pretentious assholes.
It’s sold out so maybe don’t tell ol’ Barry. Also don’t tell him Kid Rock is opening. No need rubbing salt on an old wound.
