A belated p.s. on becoming an entrepreneur using the example of starting a restaurant. Very non-musicy on this musicy website, but was actually approved by those higher up, for those new to this story. When I ended my story on my failed cookie store, I promised some examples of successful restaurants, i.e. those who [...] Let’s wrap this up shall we? We are at the end of this story, which has taken so long to tell that any hope I had of writing with one voice throughout kind of went out the window. Also, it’s hard to remember the end part when I was really getting it together, but [...] The ‘halcyon’ days were composed mostly of awesome as they were the days when we truly ran free together, guiding its growth and succeeding in some wins. I was the only one actually in the store and running the day to day, but all three of us helped to guide the growth of the [...] Whew! After all of that start up negativity, confusion, hubris and chaos, we are finally on to a bit of the brighter side of things. That doesn’t mean things are any better with the business, however. It’s just that by now we know what is horrifically wrong with the business and make steps to [...] The trickiest part of a recounting of a tale is the problem you have with a particular person. On the one hand you want to rail and scream about what a dumb, stupid, idiotic, etc. etc. the person is, but one really cannot do that as it disregards manners and diplomacy. And you really [...] At this point in the story, you can probably see all of the different threads of things happening at the same time, so to write this story linearly is almost impossible. Therefore, I will take each thread one at a time in discussion. The easiest and most simple will be the interior design thread. [...] You might be wondering how we are actually getting far enough to spend tens of thousands of dollars. Amazingly, we three put in $50,000, which I am amazed we even have.
