Yes, that Audiogalaxy. Around the turn of the Millennium it was one of several post-Napster file sharing options for downloading music illegally. Now it’s a simple application for your [...] It’s been a while since I’ve heard a record I enjoy as much as Beach House’s Teen Dream. It just doesn’t happen for me very often anymore. That I listen over and over to a record. That I can’t not listen. That I think every song must have been loved equally by its maker. [...] So I got the new Spoon record, and I’m sorta meh on it. As usual it sounds amazing. Probably the best drum sound they’ve ever achieved. But the songs aren’t there. Not the way they were for the last two records. Spoon rightfully gets a lot of credit for their attention to [...] This week, Mojo Nixon made his entire catalog available on Amazon for free. So I’m sampling a little bit. The only time I’ve heard anything by Mr. Nixon, it was via an MTV story about his song, “Don Henley Must Die.” I actually heard that song when it first came out in 1990. At [...] Last night we played the first show we’ve done in about 8 months, which is one of the longest stretches I’ve ever gone without playing some kinda live show. Rudyard’s was packed, and the Jonx and Side Arms both played extremely well. I should definitely thank former NAPper Ramon for interviewing us on the [...] As with damn near every Wilco record, I’ve been extremely excited to hear their latest release, the goofily titled Wilco (The Album). Thankfully, I didn’t have to wait until June 30, its scheduled release date. That’s because the record leaked this week to the various torrent sites a full month and a half early. [...] |
